Wow! This Italian theatrical Poster for SHAFT lives! Again, a beautiful example of the Italian tradition of painting the Movie poster! In America this was a photo but in the Italian market its painted! This painting on paper captures the fury and immediacy that the photo just cannot capture. The Artist is the Master Enzo Nistri. along with his Brother Giuliano they both have created works that defined Italian Cinema advertising. This poster is in the collection of MoMA, NYC. Images 2 & 3 are a Postcard from MoMA, NYC confirming its in its collection (not included).
