c.1960's WESTNOFA INGMAR RELLING 'Siesta' LOUNGE CHAIR Mint
Rare chrome high back black leather Siesta chair designed by Ingmar Relling and made in Norway by Westnofa Møbelfabrikk c.1965-1970’s. The Siesta chair is widely recognized as being a classic of modern Scandinavian design and an icon of Norwegian design. The Siesta chair first received a Design Award in 1965 and has since been bought and exhibited by many important museums worldwide. A great, collectable piece.
The leather is in good condition for its age with no rips or tears and is soft and supple. The chrome base is in good condition with just a few slight scuffs, again, commensurate with its age, but nothing that detracts. Reading a Paper,, Magazine, or Book (if you still do this) is a pleasure in this chair extremely comfy!
