For your consideration an Early 1980's Photograph from Jamel Shabazz. This Photo can be found in his seminal Book 'Back in the Days'. The Photograph is titled 'Sha, Fort Greene, Brooklyn'. Taken in the Early 80's. The Photo is iconic of Early Hip Hop in Brooklyn...The Trucker Adidas Hat, Cazals Glasses, Gold Chains, and I guess High cut shorts with no socks for his hard shell Adidas 'Superstars' which was 1980 style!

So Iconic is this photo, we used it for Jamel's Berlin Exhibition Poster which was pasted all over Berlin for 1 Month! It was Dope!

This Exhibition photograph was printed in 2002 for an Exhibition in Berlin, Germany. I organized this show with Adidas Originals Berlin. The exhibit lasted for a Month they flew myself, Jamel, and DJ Sharp out to Berlin from NYC.

In organizing, Beyond pitching to Adidas, I organized all framing with Jamels original negatives (He wasn’t using Digital at the Time) with Jamel's final approval in Berlin, doing PR for Jamel and more for the Show. The show was at ADIDAS Originals MÜNZSTRASSE MITTE Berlin not far from Adidas HQ.

This image, 'Sha, Fort Greene, Brooklyn' was used as the exhibition Poster. The Poster was plastered all over Berlin for 1 Month if not longer. Again, This Photograph had been used in the exhibition. I no longer have copies of the Poster.The Exhibit was titled 'Jamel Shabazz: Back in the Days' as his Book of the same name, published by PowerHouse Books, was released only Months earlier. Jamel gave me this Print directly as a 'Thank you' for organizing the Event. It is unsigned as I did not ask for a signature. The Photo is Unsigned.

I will provide a COA signed by me and bearing my name attesting to the above. I am a Curator, Collector, and Art Dealer for 30 Years plus. I was one of the first People (In an Art Market context to sell his work). This photograph is 21 years old. Bright colors still as it was stored away for many Years and now hangs in a no Sunlight Room.

Again, I have singly owned this print since it was made for Jamel's BERLIN exhibition in 2002 which I organized.

The Photograph is mounted on Metal with clear laminate on top. Back has a stretcher for hanging. Printing/Mounting/Framing is Museum quality- made in Berlin Germany 2002.
