This is an extremely RARE Men's ad poster for the French Undergarment company Selimaille from 1968 printed in Paris. (Think at this time the Student Riots in Paris in Mai 68' and the General Political and Sexual transformations happening in Paris and the greater Western World). The advertising company Publicis created this Selimaille campaign using a photo by artist Jean-François Bauret making this the first ever naked man in advertising (An Ad for Underwear) at that point.

The Image was shocking to the 1968 Audience and popular. The image was used on the Cover of the early American 'Queer Lit' Writer John Rechy and his Novel 'Numbers'. The Foto itself is of a strong portrait of a beautiful young man starring at us almost with an Aristocratic glance but all the while Hippie. Free Love. Paris. 1968. A classic.
