1966/70 ANDY WARHOL 'COW' framed Beautiful
c. 1970. I’ve had this in my possession for 20 plus years and it’s been hanging beautifully on my wall. It was bought at an Estate Sell one early weekend morning in East Hampton. I bought it in the possibility it could be proved to be a Warhol (easy- East Hampton. His Montauk Estate not far away). I have not been able to prove this is an ‘official’ Warhol. I refuse to go to the AW Foundation which is a ‘Velvet Mafia’ which is more interested in their ‘investments’ and its all about who you know to get that coveted AW stamp.
As such, this is a great deal to not pass on! I am selling a Sunday B. Morning but this was bought separately and by a 15 year difference. Again, your advantage.
I believe this to be anywhere in age from 1966-1970 based on colour way and what the Family told me ( A divorcée who lived in NYC in the 60/70’s and was active in the arts). The lady had most POP artists on her wall in one way or the other (Wesselman, Rauschenberg, and more).
Art at its best is meant to provoke thought, give contemplative beauty, and impress the shit out of people! This piece has done all of that over the years!
